How speed dating works

A speed dating event give you a series of short face-to-face 'dates' over the course of one fun evening. It's fun and great way to meet new people.

Firstly, book your ticket on Fanciful and upload your profile picture and maybe add a short bio. This is important when it comes around to matching you up.

On the day you'll arrive at the venue (on time please) where you'll meet your friendly host. They will sign you in and briefly explain the event format. Youill then be straight into your first of a series of dates.

Each date lasts just a few minutes and is designed to be just long enough for you meet and get a flavour of each person you meet. You may want to take a look at some sample questions, tips and conversation starters here.

At heterosexual events, women stay at the same table throughout the evening and guys move to the next table at the end of each date. Remember, speed dating is just the icebreaker so itis essential to move quickly between dates. Speed dating is a fast, fun and exciting to meet lots of people in one night.

After the event you will login to the Fanciful site where you'll see a list of everyone you met at the eventi Simply select who is a Yesi (youid love to see them again) and a inoi and at around 5pm on the following day we'll publish your matches. Youlll then be able to send messages to the people you mutually matched with and arrange to see them again.
