Charges for using Fanciful as an Organiser

Fanciful charges a small fee to provide our fully-featured speed dating event management and ticketing solution to organisers.

We provide event listings, ticketing, training guides, guest reminders and post-event matching and messaging to put your events up there with the best in the business.

There are no setup or ongoing fees for organising events via the platform however we do charge a small per-guest fee for each person attending each of your events. With Fanciful, you only pay us if your events are generating revenue for you!

How you pay our fee depends upon how the ticket was purchased by your customer.

Charges for tickets sold via Fanciful

You’ll find it quicker and easier to direct your clients to your event page on fanciful to book their tickets. In doing so, we’ll handle their booking confirmations, reminders, account login and of course, the all-important post-event matching without any input from you.

Everyone who purchases tickets this way will be on your Fanciful guestlist, and we’ll also ensure you’re paid quickly via the Stripe payments platform.

For bookings processed via our site, we charge a set platform fee plus a small percentage of the ticket price you charge.

Pricing is currently set at £/$/€ 2 plus 5% of your chosen ticket price per customer. Stripe, our payment processing partner will also deduct a small fee per transaction which you can find here.

For example, if you sell your tickets for £20 your fee will be £2 + 5% (or 1) – a total of £3 per ticket sold leaving you with £7.00 which will be paid to you directly.

Fanciful supports multiple currencies so you will be charged in your local currency if you are organising events outside of the UK.

You may wish to advertise your event tickets for on other event portals such as Eventbrite or other platforms for sale and that’s a great idea. However, in order to add these clients to your Fanciful event there is a fee in order for them to access all the Fanciful features.

We operate a system of prepaid event invitation tokens which can be used to invite people who have purchased tickets elsewhere to join your event on Fanciful.

Invitation tokens are purchased when required via your Organiser Tools dashboard and are charged at £/$/€ 3 per token. There is no minimum token purchase.

Example use case: Invitation tokens

You have your event listed on Fanciful but to reach a larger audience you may wish to create a page on Eventbrite and opt to sell tickets via their service too.

An order arrives for your event via Eventbrite. You wish to invite this client to your Fanciful event so they can match with everyone else on the guest list.

To invite them, simply go to your event within your Fanciful Organiser Tools. Go to attendees and hit Invite. You’ll then be prompted to purchase as many invitation tokens as you need. You can then add the name and email of the Eventbrite ticket holder to your event.

They will be invited to create a Fanciful account and they will see your event in their Fanciful event list. They will then receive event reminders relating to your event and most importantly, have access to post-event matching and messaging with all your other guests.

You may choose to sell tickets via any other online means or in cash and invitation tokens make it quick and easy to add everyone to your Fanciful guest lists to give everyone the full experience and allow connections to occur.
